The West African Examinations Council has released the official timetable for the 2026 Common Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, First Series.
WAEC made the announcement on Tuesday through a post on its official X handle, where it published the full examination schedule showing subjects, dates and time for the conduct of the examination.
According to the council, the release of the timetable is to enable private candidates adequately prepare and properly plan ahead of the examination.
In the post, WAEC stated, “Here’s the timetable for the CB WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026 First Series. We wish you success and a wonderful experience.”
The council advised candidates to carefully study the timetable and ensure they are familiar with their examination dates, subjects and other requirements ahead of the test.
WAEC also urged candidates to strictly adhere to all examination guidelines to avoid any issues that could affect their performance or participation in the exercise.
The examination body disclosed that the 2026 CB WASSCE for Private Candidates, First Series, will commence on January 28, 2026.
It added that the examination will be conducted using the computer based test system, in line with its ongoing efforts to modernise examination processes and improve efficiency in test administration.
