Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, will on Saturday, January 3, 2026, hold his annual Thanksgiving and New Year service at the Ilaro Pavilion in Ogun West.
The clarification followed reports circulating in some quarters that the event earlier scheduled for Saturday had been shifted to Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The reports had claimed that the change was due to circumstances beyond control.
However, in a press statement issued by his media aide, Chief Kayode Odunaro, the senator confirmed that the thanksgiving service remains fixed for Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Ilaro, as originally planned.
Odunaro expressed regret over the confusion created by the earlier information and tendered an apology to invited guests, supporters, and well wishers who may have been inconvenienced by the reports.
He added that all arrangements for the event remain unchanged, noting that the thanksgiving service is open to the general public.
According to the statement, the occasion is aimed at giving thanks to God for His guidance and blessings, while also providing an opportunity for supporters and residents of Ogun West to celebrate the new year with the senator.
