A new wave of real estate diplomacy is emerging as Nigeria seeks global partnerships to bridge its housing deficit.

At the forefront of this movement is Ola Isaac, a young entrepreneur and founder of Rematech Properties, who is now championing Nigeria’s real estate interests on the international stage.

At the just-concluded 3rd International Networking Conference held in Giessen, Germany, Isaac joined top government officials and industry leaders from Africa and Europe to pitch Nigeria as a viable destination for real estate investment.

Themed “The World Meets in Giessen”, the event served as a bridge for transcontinental collaboration in trade, innovation, and sustainable development.

Representing Nigeria’s private sector, Isaac brought attention to Ogun State as a case study of rapid economic growth and housing demand, describing the region as ripe for foreign direct investment.

“Nigeria’s population is growing fast, and so is the demand for affordable, durable housing,” he said. “At Rematech, we are not just looking for funding — we are building relationships, knowledge, and trust.”

The conference was packed with B2B engagements, study tours, and model exhibitions that exposed Isaac to Germany’s advanced construction methods and sustainability frameworks.

“What struck me most was the simplicity of their models — clean, efficient, and lasting,” he shared. “We’re now exploring ways to localize these approaches through partnerships that will benefit communities back home.”

One of the standout moments was the unveiling of Rematech’s Farm City Housing Project — a multi-purpose estate concept that integrates residential housing with agriculture. The project is set to launch in Ogun State, and Isaac says it is designed to promote food security and reduce urban migration.

“Farm City is not just about housing. It’s about creating a future where Nigerians can live, farm, and thrive within the same ecosystem,” he said.

The international spotlight was also amplified by the presence of high-profile Nigerians, including former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who lauded Isaac’s efforts and the broader mission to globalize Nigeria’s investment profile.

“Young business leaders like Ola Isaac give us hope,” Lai Mohammed noted. “Their boldness in stepping out to engage the world shows that Nigeria is not just open for business, we are ready for it.”

The event also featured key addresses from Barrister Dele Oye, President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), who urged European stakeholders to explore Nigeria’s diversified economic opportunities.

“Our market is robust and full of untapped potential. Real estate, agriculture, and manufacturing are open frontiers for German investors,” Oye stated.

Supporting this stance, OGUNCCIMA President Lion Niyi Oshiyemi reiterated the state’s commitment to working with investors to realize inclusive growth.

“Ogun is already attracting industries and now, with initiatives like Farm City, we’re creating holistic communities that make economic and social sense,” he said. “We welcome collaborations across sectors.”

At the close of the event, Ola Isaac was awarded a certificate of participation by the Giessen-Friedberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) — a symbolic nod to the rising profile of Nigerian entrepreneurs on the global business scene.

“This experience has been transformative,” Isaac said. “I return home more determined to implement world-class practices and build for the people, by the people.”
