The Ogun State House of Assembly has scheduled the commencement of its first quarter budget performance appraisal for the 2026 fiscal year, with the exercise set to begin on Monday, May 11, 2026.
The exercise, which will be conducted by the Committee on Finance and Appropriation of the Ogun State House of Assembly, is expected to run daily from 10.00am.
According to a statement issued by the Clerk and Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, the assessment forms part of the Assembly’s constitutional duty to ensure proper oversight of government expenditure and implementation of approved policies and projects.
He explained that the exercise is aimed at evaluating the level of compliance of Ministries, Departments and Agencies with the Ogun State 2026 Appropriation Law, with a focus on ensuring value for public resources.
The statement added that all Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies are expected to appear before the committee in line with the earlier communicated schedule.
The budget performance review is expected to run from Monday, May 11, through Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
