The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola, has urged Muslim faithful and Nigerians at large to embrace peace, sacrifice, brotherliness and peaceful coexistence as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Media Adviser, High Chief Kayode Odunaro, the lawmaker said adherence to the teachings of Islam would help the country consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Adeola, who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and the All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant for the 2027 Ogun State election, said Nigeria currently needs security, understanding and sacrifices from citizens to sustain ongoing socio-economic reforms.

According to him, the Tinubu administration has recorded positive indicators capable of pulling the nation away from economic collapse inherited three years ago.

He said, “As the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu prepares to mark its three years in office with acclaimed positive indicators of escaping total collapse of the economy and achievements in socio-economic gains expected to continue trickling down to the masses, the nation needs security, peace, understanding and sacrifices to consolidate observable gains as well as deepen ongoing reformist development initiatives of the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

The senator also felicitated Muslim faithful observing the celebration in Nigeria and those currently performing Hajj in the Holy Land.

Adeola assured constituents in Ogun West of continued effective representation, promising sustained delivery of democratic dividends through empowerment programmes and infrastructural projects.

He listed some of the interventions to include support for education, roads, boreholes, transformers and other constituency projects aimed at complementing government efforts at different levels.
