Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria on the celebration of this year’s Eid el Kabir, urging them to embrace peace, sacrifice, obedience, and love for one another as taught by Prophet Ibrahim.
In a statement to mark the occasion, Abiodun said the festival remains a powerful reminder of faith, selflessness, tolerance, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
He called on residents of Ogun State to continue to live in harmony regardless of religious or ethnic differences, stressing that unity remains a key driver of peace, progress, and sustainable development in the state and the nation.
The governor also urged Nigerians to support ongoing reforms and initiatives of the Federal Government, expressing optimism that the policies would help reposition the economy and set the country on a stronger path of growth and stability.
Abiodun reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of citizens through continued investment in infrastructure, security, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic development under the Building Our Future Together agenda.
He appreciated the support and cooperation of the people of Ogun State, noting that their prayers and trust remain vital to the success of his administration’s development plans.
The governor prayed that the blessings of Eid el Kabir would bring peace, joy, divine favour, and renewed hope to families across the state and the country, while wishing Muslim faithful a peaceful and memorable celebration.
