Authorities of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta have expelled 365 Higher National Diploma students over the use of falsified academic documents during admission processes.

According to a statement signed by ‘Yemi Ajibola, Head of Public Relations and Protocol, the decision followed a comprehensive verification exercise that uncovered fake National Diploma results and forged transcripts submitted by affected students across different institutions.

Afenifere Faults Security Response as Kidnappings Spread in South-West

The institution said the students were spread across various schools within the polytechnic, with the School of Communication and Information Technology recording the highest number of 156 cases.

The School of Business and Management Studies followed with 117, while the School of Science and Technology recorded 54.

The School of Engineering had 36 affected students, and the School of Environmental Studies recorded 2 cases.

The Rector, Arc. Dr. ‘Koye Jolaoso, warned prospective applicants against any form of academic fraud, stressing that the institution remains committed to protecting academic integrity and strengthening its admission processes.

He added that the action reflects the polytechnic’s resolve to uphold credibility, discipline, and transparency in its academic system.
