The Iloko Model College Alumni Association has congratulated one of its members, Falola Iyanuoluwa Modupeola, on her recognition at the 2026 Obafemi Awolowo University Academic and Research Excellence Awards.
Falola, a member of the Class of 2020 and former Sports Prefect of Iloko Model College, was honoured as the 300 Level OAU Star for the Department of Urban and Regional Planning during the fourth edition of the Academic and Research Excellence Awards held at Oduduwa Hall, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, on Wednesday.
The recognition formed part of the university’s annual celebration of academic excellence, which honoured outstanding students across various academic levels.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Iloko Model College Alumni Association, the association’s Public Relations Officer, Femi Adaramaja, described Falola’s achievement as a reflection of hard work, discipline and the enduring values instilled by the institution.
He said, “Falola has once again demonstrated that excellence is built on dedication, resilience and consistency. Her emergence as the 300 Level OAU Star is a proud moment for the entire Iloko Model College family.”
Adaramaja added, “From serving as Sports Prefect and representing the Green House during her days at IMC to earning academic recognition at one of Nigeria’s foremost universities, she has remained an outstanding ambassador of our institution. We are delighted that this is her third consecutive Academic and Research Excellence Award, and we are confident she will continue to attain greater heights.”
The alumni association noted that the award underscored Falola’s commitment to academic excellence and expressed confidence that her accomplishments would inspire current students and fellow alumni to pursue excellence in their respective fields.
Other students recognised as OAU Stars in the department include Adenola Happiness Oluwasemilore (100 Level), Balogun Alex Adeyemi (200 Level), Olaleye Ademola Oluwatobiloba (400 Level), and Akindele Christianah Bisola (500 Level).
