Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, describing his passing as a painful loss to the Corps, the road safety community and the nation.
The governor, in a condolence message, commiserated with the Corps Marshal and the national leadership of the FRSC in Abuja, as well as the management, officers and men of the Corps across the country, the family of the deceased, friends and professional associates.
Abiodun noted that Ogunjobi’s commitment to road safety administration, public enlightenment and stakeholder engagement demonstrated the importance of dedicated service to the protection of lives and property.
He said the late sector commander played an important role in promoting responsible road use, improving compliance with traffic regulations and advancing efforts to make roads in Ogun State safer for motorists and other road users.
The governor described the death as particularly painful at a time when the collective efforts of road safety officials remained critical to reducing road traffic crashes and protecting the lives of citizens.
While praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul, Abiodun urged his family, colleagues and associates to take solace in the worthy service he rendered to the nation.
He also prayed that God would grant the bereaved family, the FRSC national leadership, officers and men of the Corps, and all those affected by the loss the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
