President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, on his 57th birthday, saying his emergence as the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State was a testament to his good works and achievements.
The President’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, to mark Adeola’s birthday.
Tinubu commended the senator for his years of service to the people of Ogun and Lagos states, as well as his contributions to national development.
Adeola currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Communication.
The President noted that the senator had the distinction of representing two senatorial districts, having begun his legislative career in 2011 as a member of the House of Representatives representing Alimosho Constituency in Lagos State.
Tinubu also praised Adeola’s role in national budget management and his contribution to the implementation of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The President said, “Senator Yayi, you are a dedicated public servant and a dependable political ally. Your commitment to Nigeria’s democratic development is worthy of commendation.”
He added, “Your overwhelming nomination as the APC flagbearer for the Ogun State governorship is a testament to your good works and achievements.”
Tinubu further commended the senator’s partnership with the executive arm of government, noting that his legislative contributions had helped advance policies aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
“On this special day, I celebrate your years of service to our nation and your contributions to the growth and development of Ogun and Lagos States, and Nigeria at large,” the President stated.
Tinubu wished the Ogun West senator continued good health, wisdom and strength as he serves his constituents and the country.
“I wish you more years of good health, wisdom and strength as you continue to serve your people and our dear country, Nigeria,” he said.
