The Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation has congratulated the Olowu of Kuta, His Royal Majesty, Oba Hammed Adekunle Makama Oyelude CON (Tegbosun III), on his recent recognition with the prestigious UNESCO-TOFAC Award for cultural preservation.

In a congratulatory message signed by the Global President of the Foundation, Alhaji Aare (Asiwaju) Dapo Wahab JP, the group described the award as a well-deserved honour for the monarch’s outstanding contributions to cultural heritage and service to humanity.

“On behalf of the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation (Inc.), I extend heartfelt congratulations to you upon receiving the prestigious UNESCO-TOFAC award for cultural preservation. This esteemed recognition is a testament to your tireless efforts in promoting cultural heritage and serving humanity,” the statement reads.

The Foundation further commended Oba Makama for his unwavering commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s rich cultural legacy, noting that his dedication continues to inspire many within and beyond the country.

“Your dedication to preserving our rich cultural legacy is truly inspiring, and we are honored to have you as our Royal Grand Patron. We celebrate your achievement and look forward to continuing our collaboration in promoting the values that you so eloquently represent,” Wahab added.

The UNESCO-TOFAC Award was presented to the Olowu of Kuta during the 14th Toyin Falola International Conference on Africa and the African Diaspora, held at Osun State University in Osogbo.

The Foundation also prayed for the monarch’s continued success and prosperity in his efforts to promote culture and humanity.
