Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr Mrs Noimot Salako Oyedele, has announced the passing of one of her security officers, W Inspector Mariam Toyin Ayenreti, who died at the age of forty two after a brief illness.
Ayenreti, née Adelegan, was a key member of the Deputy Governor’s security team and was described as a brilliant, humble and committed police officer who carried out her duties with exceptional loyalty.
Salako Oyedele expressed deep sorrow over the death of the officer, noting that her demise has left a significant void within the team.
While expressing her grief, the Deputy Governor said, “It is with a heavy heart, yet with total submission to the will of Allah, that I announce the passing of W Inspector Mariam Toyin Ayenreti.”
She added that the late officer was “a brilliant and dedicated police officer, and an invaluable member of my security team. She served with diligence, humility and commitment, and her loss is deeply felt by the entire DG team.”
She prayed for the repose of Ayenreti’s soul, saying, “May Almighty Allah accept her return, forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.”
She also extended prayers to the bereaved family. “May He comfort her aged parents, her husband and her children, and grant them the strength to bear this painful and irreparable loss,” she said.
