The Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation has congratulated Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd.) on his reappointment as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The foundation described his reappointment as a recognition of his exemplary leadership and commitment to tackling drug abuse and trafficking in Nigeria.
In a statement signed by the foundation’s Global President, Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, the organisation commended Marwa for transforming the NDLEA and strengthening public confidence in the agency’s operations.
“Your reappointment is a clear testament to your exemplary leadership, unwavering integrity, and remarkable achievements in Nigeria’s drug control efforts,” the statement read.
The foundation also highlighted Marwa’s dedication to youth protection, policy reforms, and public sensitisation.
“We deeply appreciate your consistent commitment to safeguarding the future of our youth and securing our communities from the dangers of substance abuse.
“Your efforts continue to inspire organisations like ours to intensify advocacy, community engagement, and preventive education,” it added.
Commenting on the reappointment, Marwa expressed gratitude for the support and reaffirmed his commitment to the agency’s mandate.
“I am honoured by this renewed mandate and remain dedicated to strengthening our fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking. Together, we can build a safer, drug-free Nigeria,” he said.
