Crescent University, Abeokuta, is set to hold its 18th Convocation Ceremony on Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17, 2026, with the institution expected to confer degrees, diplomas, prizes and honorary degrees on deserving graduands and personalities.
The two day ceremony, which will take place at the Bola Ajibola Auditorium on the university campus, will begin at 10:00 a.m. daily.
According to the programme released by the university, the first day will feature the convocation lecture and the award of first degrees to graduands from the Colleges of Natural and Applied Sciences, CONAS, Arts, Social and Management Sciences, CASMAS, and Engineering and Environmental Sciences, COES.
The second day will feature the award of first degrees in Law, Education and other programmes, as well as the conferment of Master’s degrees and PhD hooding.
The university will also present its Honoris Causa awards and conduct the investiture and conferment of an honorary degree on the institution’s Pro-Chancellor.
The ceremony is expected to bring together the university’s management, graduands, parents, members of the academic community, dignitaries and other stakeholders to celebrate the achievements of the graduating students.
The university was founded by the late Judge Bola Ajibola, SAN, CFR, and has continued to position itself as a citadel of academic and moral excellence.
The institution’s Chancellor is Prof. Ibrahim A. Gambari, CFR, while Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila is the Vice-Chancellor.
The university urged members of the public, families and friends of the graduands to join the institution in celebrating the latest set of graduates as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
