Delta State Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) and former police public relations officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, has issued a stern warning against drug abuse, stressing that careless consumption of substances can lead to death.
In a message shared on his Facebook page on Monday, Adejobi urged the public, especially young people, to stay away from drugs and harmful substances.
He warned that using drugs without caution is a dangerous act that can end lives.
He wrote, “When you consume substances or drugs anyhow, you die anyhow. Leave story. #SayNoToDrugAbuse. Ire oo.”
The Delta State police chief’s warning comes amid rising concerns over drug abuse and its related crimes across the country. Adejobi’s message serves as a reminder that drug addiction not only destroys lives but also undermines community safety and development.
He called on parents, community leaders, and law enforcement agencies to join the fight against drug abuse by educating young people and supporting rehabilitation efforts for those already affected.
