The President of the Ogun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA), Lion Niyi Oshiyemi, has assured that the Chamber will complement the ongoing efforts of Governor Dapo Abiodun in attracting investors, promoting economic development, and strengthening the business environment across the state.
Oshiyemi gave this assurance while presenting his address at the 41st Annual General Meeting of OGUNCCIMA, held at the Chamber’s Secretariat, MKO Abiola Trade Fair Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
He stated that the Chamber’s newly established One-Stop Business Development Service Unit has started providing targeted support to entrepreneurs, creating avenues for market access, business growth, and direct engagement with investors.
“Our One-Stop Business Development Service Unit is a key platform that provides practical support to businesses. Through this initiative, we are complementing the efforts of His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun, who has remained focused on building an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and for investors to see the state as a preferred destination,” Oshiyemi said.
He explained that the Unit has been hosting monthly virtual sessions, providing relevant information on business development, innovation, strategic partnerships, and expanding market reach for entrepreneurs across different sectors.
Oshiyemi stressed that OGUNCCIMA remains committed to enhancing investment opportunities, deepening trade relations, and fostering collaborations with both local and international partners.
“Governor Abiodun has shown unwavering support for private sector growth through his Building Our Future Together Agenda, and as a Chamber, it is our responsibility to complement that vision. We will continue to empower businesses, promote partnerships, and drive economic growth that benefits every sector,” he added.
Highlighting other achievements, Oshiyemi mentioned the successful hosting of the 14th Gateway International Trade Fair and the Annual Fish and Aquaculture Fair, which provided platforms for businesses to showcase their products, access new markets, and attract investors.
He also referred to the engagement with the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association of Turkiye (MUSIAD), describing it as part of OGUNCCIMA’s broader strategy to promote global trade collaboration and attract foreign direct investment.
“We are building partnerships beyond our borders because economic growth today requires both local resilience and global connections,” he said.
Oshiyemi further assured that OGUNCCIMA will continue to provide essential support to entrepreneurs, drive investor confidence, and work closely with stakeholders to position the state as a hub for investment, innovation, and sustainable business growth.
