Three suspects linked to the killing of former Ogun State Television staff member, Olayikitan Ibilola Oyesiku, have been arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta.
The suspects, identified as Sodeinde Olajuwon Philip, Sakirudeen Abdulroheem Ayoola, and Sobu Obafunso, were brought before the court following police investigations into the alleged murder.
Counsel for the Nigeria Police Force, A.S. Abiodun, filed an ex parte application seeking an order to remand the suspects at the Oba Correctional Centre for 60 days pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Abiodun told the court that the remand was necessary to allow the police conclude investigations and obtain legal advice from the DPP before proceeding with the case.
The presiding Magistrate granted the application and ordered that the three defendants be remanded at the Oba Correctional Centre for 60 days, as requested by the prosecution.
The case was adjourned pending the outcome of the legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
