Paris Saint-Germain have been crowned champions of Europe for the first time after delivering a ruthless 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.

The French giants, who have been chasing continental glory for years, dominated proceedings from the opening whistle and never looked back. Their win also secured a historic treble for the Ligue 1 champions, who had already clinched the domestic double before the final.

PSG drew first blood just 12 minutes into the match when Desire Doue showed remarkable composure in the box, laying the ball across the face of goal for Achraf Hakimi to tap home. Hakimi, a former Inter player, refrained from celebrating out of respect for his old club. Only eight minutes later, the French side struck again with a swift counterattack. Ousmane Dembele found Doue inside the box and the youngster’s shot deflected off Federico Dimarco, leaving Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer helpless.

Despite a few half-chances from Inter — including a missed header by Marcus Thuram — the Serie A runners-up were lucky to reach the break trailing by only two goals. PSG wasted several chances of their own, with Dembele missing a sitter and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia also heading wide from close range.

After the restart, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi introduced fresh legs in a bid to turn the tide, but any hopes of a comeback were extinguished when Doue struck again just after the hour mark, finishing calmly to make it 3-0. Kvaratskhelia added the fourth goal not long after, and the night was sealed in emphatic fashion when 18-year-old substitute Senny Mayulu scored with only his second touch of the ball.

Speaking after the match, PSG captain Marquinhos said, “This is the moment we’ve dreamed of for years. We didn’t just win — we dominated. I’m so proud of this team.”

Manager Luis Enrique hailed his players for what he called a performance worthy of history. “We played with heart, control, and hunger,” he said. “This victory belongs to everyone who believed in PSG’s journey.”

On the other side, Inter’s coach Simone Inzaghi conceded, “We were second-best in every department. PSG showed their class and we couldn’t keep up.”
