Senator Solomon Adeola, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, has expressed sadness over the death of Alhaja Amdalat Adunola Mustapha, mother of the Osi of Egbaland, High Chief Bode Mustapha, at the age of 97.
In a condolence statement issued on Sunday by his Media Adviser, Chief Kayode Odunaro, Adeola described the death of Alhaja Mustapha as a loss to her family, Egbaland, Ogun State and Nigeria.
Alhaja Mustapha died on September 12, 2026, and was buried the same day in accordance with Islamic rites.
Adeola described the deceased as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as a community leader whose piety and hardworking nature made her a model for many women throughout her lifetime.
He said her contributions to societal development, Islamic propagation and philanthropic causes would remain evergreen.
“The death of Alhaja Mustapha must be a loss to my elder statesman and ardent supporter, High Chief Mustapha and the family at a time like this. I sincerely commiserate with the dearly departed family on the loss,” Adeola said.
The senator also prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and asked Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds and grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
He further prayed for strength and fortitude for the immediate family to bear the loss.
The eighth-day Fidau prayer for the deceased is scheduled to hold on September 19, 2026.
