Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, representing Ogun West Senatorial District, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Honourable Oluwaseun Olayinka Adekambi, the former Leader of the Yewa South Legislative Council.

Hon. Adekambi, a native of Pahayi in Ilaro, died on Saturday and was laid to rest on Sunday in Ilaro, the administrative seat of Yewa South Local Government Area.

In a condolence message signed by the Media Adviser to the senator, Chief Kayode Odunaro, and addressed to the bereaved family, the people and government of Yewa South Local Government led by Barrister Abraham Ogunsola, Senator Adeola described Adekambi’s sudden demise as shocking and painful.

The news of his demise was shocking, especially because he was not known to suffer from any health challenge. His passing is a great loss not only to his immediate family and the people of Pahayi but also to the entire Yewa South Local Government and Ogun State at large,” Adeola was quoted as saying.

The senator described the late council leader as a young, promising politician whose impact, though brief, was widely acknowledged.

“The death of Hon. Adekambi at a relatively young age is a sad loss of a rising political star. Many attested to his positive role as the Leader of the Yewa South Legislative Council in the short period he held sway. He was known as a listening leader, always willing to assist everyone to the best of his ability. His absence will be greatly felt in the council,” Adeola added.

Senator Adeola offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Adekambi’s soul and prayed for strength for his family, political colleagues, and associates to bear the irreparable loss.
