Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, on his 58th birthday, urging him to continue working towards uniting members of the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a congratulatory message signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, Governor Abiodun described Yilwatda as a focused and strategic leader whose leadership had strengthened the APC and positioned the party for greater electoral success.

Abiodun said the APC National Chairman had demonstrated the capacity, political maturity and dexterity required to lead the party at a critical period in the nation’s political development.

According to him, the party needs a united leadership and stronger structures to consolidate its achievements and improve its chances in the 2027 elections.

The governor said, “At this critical juncture in our national political journey, the APC requires a leadership that can unite our members, strengthen our structures and mobilise our people for greater electoral victories. Your leadership has continued to provide that direction.”

Abiodun also commended Yilwatda for his efforts to strengthen the relationship between the party leadership and members across the country, describing unity and inclusiveness as essential to the growth of the APC.

He said the responsibility of the party leadership went beyond winning elections, stressing that the APC must remain responsive to the aspirations of Nigerians.

“The task before the APC is not merely to win elections, but to build a political organisation that is sufficiently strong, united and responsive to the aspirations of Nigerians,” the governor stated.

The Ogun governor expressed confidence that Yilwatda would deploy his experience and political ingenuity to expand the party’s national reach and lead it to more electoral victories.

He added, “As we look towards 2027, I am confident that with a united and determined APC, under your leadership, we will consolidate our achievements, expand our electoral frontiers and renew the confidence of Nigerians in our progressive agenda.”

Abiodun further expressed confidence that the APC under Yilwatda would win more states and deliver victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the party in the 2027 elections.

He prayed for the National Chairman to be granted many more years in good health, wisdom and strength to continue his service to the party and the country.

“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Ogun State, I warmly felicitate with you, our National Chairman, on your 58th birthday.

“I pray that God will continue to guide you, strengthen you and grant you the wisdom required to lead our party to greater heights,” Abiodun said.
