Dangote Petroleum Refinery has dismissed circulating reports claiming it is shutting down, assuring Nigerians that its operations remain ongoing, stable, and uninterrupted.
In a statement shared on X, the company confirmed that it continues to supply between 40 and 50 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) daily throughout January and February, depending on market demand.
On January 4, the refinery produced 50 million litres of PMS and evacuated 48 million litres, maintaining stock sufficient to cover over 20 days of national consumption.
The refinery noted that routine maintenance is being conducted on select units but stressed that this has not affected overall output. Production of PMS, diesel, and Jet A-1 continues without disruption through fully operational processing units.
The company reiterated that its ex-gantry price of N699 per litre is available to all marketers and bulk consumers without discrimination. Stakeholders were encouraged to support locally refined petroleum products.
