The Ogun State Government has inaugurated Bokku Mart, a multi-million naira supermart located in Ijeja area of Abeokuta, as part of efforts to stimulate economic growth and attract more private investments into the state.
The inauguration was performed on Friday by the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, on behalf of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Speaking during the event, Talabi described the establishment of the supermart as a reflection of the growing confidence of investors in the business environment created by the present administration.
He said the government would continue to support entrepreneurs and initiatives capable of improving the standard of living of residents.
According to him, Bokku Mart, which specialises in confectioneries and household provisions, is expected to create employment opportunities and provide residents with easier access to quality goods at affordable prices.
“The opening of this supermart is another indication that Ogun State remains open for business and investment. Our administration will continue to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive,” he said.
Talabi noted that the supermart would also contribute to the expansion of local commerce and encourage further investments across the state.
Residents who attended the opening expressed excitement over the development, saying the new shopping outlet would bring convenience and wider options for consumers in the area.
