Veteran Nollywood actor, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, has graduated from the National Open University of Nigeria with a Bachelor of Science degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
Amusan was among the 24,575 students who graduated during the institution’s 15th convocation ceremony.
The actor announced the achievement on Saturday via his Instagram page, expressing gratitude for the milestone.
“Today, I am proud to be conferred with a BSc in Peace and Conflict Resolution. Done and dusted,” he wrote.
He attributed his success to divine intervention, saying, “To God be all the glory. Thank you, Lord, for the successful convocation.”
Amusan also appreciated his family, friends and supporters for standing by him throughout the academic journey.
“My sincere appreciation to my family, friends and well-wishers for your love and support,” he added.
The Nollywood star, who currently serves as President of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria, enrolled at the university in 2017 after spending over two decades away from formal education due to financial constraints.
Born in Gbongan, Osun State, Amusan began his acting career in 1988 before venturing into comedy in 1991.
He adopted the stage name Mr Latin after speaking French on a movie set in 1992, which a producer mistakenly identified as Latin.
