The Ogun State Government has announced the appointment of Mr. Olanrewaju Iskeel Saka as the new Head of the Public Service following the retirement of the immediate past occupant, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya.
The appointment was approved by Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON, in recognition of what the state described as Mr. Saka’s years of dedicated service and administrative competence within the civil service.
Until his elevation, Mr. Saka served as Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services, where he was involved in policy coordination and implementation across key government functions.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, noted that the appointment was based on merit, commitment to duty and consistent performance in public service.
Born on February 15, 1968, Saka began his career in the Ogun State Public Service as a classroom teacher in 1993 before transitioning into the administrative cadre in 2006, rising steadily through the ranks over the years.
