Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has described the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Iziaq Adekunle Salako, as a bridge-builder and unifier whose contributions to the state and Nigeria have continued to earn him recognition.

Abiodun stated this in a congratulatory message to Salako, who clocked 59 on Sunday, describing the minister as a worthy ambassador of Ogun State and a distinguished public servant.

The governor commended Salako for his professionalism, resourcefulness and commitment to duty, noting that he had continued to represent Ogun State with distinction at the federal level.

According to Abiodun, Salako’s strong connection with the grassroots and political maturity had made him a valuable asset to the state and the All Progressives Congress.

He said, “Dr Salako has distinguished himself as a worthy ambassador of Ogun State. His professionalism, resourcefulness and remarkable connection with the grassroots have continued to set him apart.

“He is a bridge-builder and a unifier who understands that leadership is about bringing people together and using one’s position to advance the common good.”

Abiodun further praised the minister’s dedication to public service, saying his experience and understanding of the needs of the people had enabled him to make meaningful contributions to governance.

He added, “Salako’s commitment to the people and his ability to connect with different segments of society have continued to demonstrate the importance of inclusive leadership.

“We are proud of his achievements and the manner in which he continues to contribute to the development of Ogun State and Nigeria.”

The governor prayed that God would grant Salako good health, wisdom and renewed strength to enable him to continue serving the people.

He also wished the minister many more years of impactful service and greater accomplishments in his public career.
