Senator Iyiola Omisore has called on members of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State to remain calm and hopeful as the party awaits the outcome of the appeal challenging his disqualification from the governorship race.

He assured supporters that the political setback has not weakened his resolve or altered the direction of his campaign.

The statement was issued by Hon Isreal Ajibola Famurewa, Director General of the Osun Rescue Mission Team, who conveyed Omisore’s gratitude to party members for their firm belief in the democratic process.

He noted that their loyalty and confidence continue to strengthen the movement despite the tension surrounding the primary.

Omisore commended party members for what he described as their discipline and unity in the face of attempts by some forces to distort the narrative.

According to him, the conduct of his supporters has shown a deep understanding of the process and a strong attachment to justice.

“In moments like this, your unity and discipline speak louder than any narrative being pushed outside by those who are vehemently working to thwart the democratic process,” he said.

He urged members to stay calm as the party awaits the decision of the appeal panel on the ruling of the Screening Committee which disqualified him and six other aspirants.

Omisore insisted that the appeal process offers hope and that he remains confident a fair review will prevail.

“As we await the outcome of the appeal and the final resolution of the National Working Committee, we urge all members of the party to remain calm, focused and resolute as nothing has changed about our conviction and nothing has altered our desire,” he stated.

He told supporters not to be swayed by rumours or propaganda aimed at distracting the camp.

Omisore stressed that the campaign remains grounded in truth and guided by the law, saying both stand firmly with them.

“Let no one be unsettled by rumours, propaganda or deliberate attempts to distract our movement. The truth is on our side, the law is on our side and the people remain with us beyond expectations,” he added.

Omisore called on his supporters to avoid unnecessary reactions and maintain composure as the process unfolds.

He reminded them that the strength of the Rescue Mission has always come from organisation, patience and commitment to justice.

The former deputy governor confirmed that his campaign structure remains intact and focused.

He assured party members that the direction of the movement has not shifted despite the current turbulence.

“Our direction is clear and our destination has not changed. Let us trust the process and stay together. Victory is not at all in doubt,” Omisore said.
