The family of a 27-year-old graduate of the University of Lagos, Tolulope Ajayi, has appealed to Nigerians, corporate organisations, and philanthropists for financial support to enable her undergo a life-saving kidney transplant.

Ajayi, an indigene of Ekiti State, was diagnosed with Lupus in 2022 and has been receiving treatment since then. However, according to an appeal issued by her family, the illness has progressed to End-Stage Kidney Disease, requiring an urgent kidney transplant.

The family disclosed that an estimated N30 million is needed to cover the transplant surgery and post-operative care.

“We humbly appeal to friends, family, organisations, and kind-hearted individuals to support her journey to recovery. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference,” the appeal stated.

According to the family, the funds will be used for the kidney transplant procedure and the extensive medical care required after the surgery.

The appeal further noted that timely intervention from members of the public could significantly improve Ajayi’s chances of survival and recovery.

The family expressed optimism that with the support of compassionate Nigerians and well-wishers, Ajayi can overcome the health challenge and be given a second chance at life.
