The Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers has appointed the Global President of the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, as its Special Adviser.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the OGSCOFED Hall in Asero, Abeokuta, where respected personalities from within and outside the state gathered, giving the event a warm and prestigious atmosphere.
During her remarks, the President of ASSOPPMED, Olori Oyedele Oluwatoyin, described Wahab as a compassionate leader whose service to humanity remains visible across communities.
She said, “Alh. Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, JP, is a thoroughbred humanitarian whose unwavering commitment to humanity stands out distinctly.”
She praised the foundation’s work on drug abuse awareness and community health improvement. “The remarkable efforts of the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation in championing the fight against drug abuse is worthy of emulation,” she stated.
Olori Oyedele closed her message with prayers and gratitude. “Thank you so much for your love and acceptance to serve as our Special Adviser. We pray that good things continually locate you, and may you never regret identifying with us.”
Responding to the appointment, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab expressed appreciation to the association for trusting him with the role.
He said, “I am deeply grateful for this appointment and for the confidence you have placed in me. It is an honour to serve an association that plays an important role in community health and wellbeing.”
He noted the alignment between ASSOPPMED’s mission and the work of his foundation. “Our foundation has always believed in building safe and healthy communities. Your commitment to responsible service and your contribution to a drug-free society gives me even more motivation to work closely with you,” he said.
Wahab assured the members of his readiness to support the association. “I accept this responsibility with humility and dedication. Together, we will continue to push for meaningful change, especially in areas of public health and youth sensitisation,” he added.
He ended his remarks with appreciation. “Thank you for welcoming me into this fold. I look forward to serving with sincerity and positive impact.”
