Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Directorate, have arrested thirty-four (34) suspected internet fraudsters in Ekiti State.
The suspects were picked up in the early hours of Monday, June 23, 2025, during a sting operation carried out in Iworoko and Ijado areas of Ado-Ekiti. Their arrest followed credible intelligence linking them to internet-related fraud.
During the operation, EFCC operatives recovered 11 exotic cars, several laptops, numerous mobile phones, and other incriminating items.
The anti-graft agency said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
