Mobile banking is now a normal part of everyday life but it also carries risks when not used wisely.

Many fraud cases today begin with small mistakes: using banking apps on phones that have been hacked, using weak passwords, or falling for fake customer support lines.

When AI Imitates Real People

1. Use your banking app only on your personal phone

Shared devices and borrowed phones are risky.

2. Never store your banking PIN in your notes or gallery

Scammers who gain access to your phone search these places first.

3. Update your banking app regularly

Updates fix security flaws criminals try to exploit.

4. Don’t respond to WhatsApp “customer care” accounts

Banks will never message you on WhatsApp to request codes or details.

5. Always enable biometric login

Fingerprint or facial login is harder for criminals to bypass.

6. Be cautious with app permissions

Some malicious apps can read your SMS or screen, making OTP theft easier.

Your banking app is secure but only if your behaviour is secure too.

Stay smart, stay safe.
